COVID-19 Customer Update

Tuesday 24th March 2020

We have clearly moved into a new phase where we must significantly change the way we interact with each other – with the social distancing measures being seen as a critical way of preventing the spread of the Coronavirus. And with a wife that’s working in the frontline of an A & E department, we are very close to the very real issues that our incredible NHS will encounter if we’re not able to contain the situation.

With this at the forefront of our mind, we must now deliver exactly what the country needs – both in terms of safety and services. We are extremely mindful that Lister Wilder is being classed as a Key Worker Employer, whereby we provide services that directly influences the food supply chain. Machinery distribution is also classified as ‘critical’ and we must therefore balance our status with our responsibilities.

You will therefore find our branches open for essential business, but we also need your help and support:

Parts Supply

Wherever possible, please phone and you’ll find we’ll be able to sort the vast majority of issues remotely. They are a very knowledgeable and helpful team so there isn’t much they won’t be able to help with. As previously suggested, arrangements can also be made for parts to be delivered or safely collected from any pre agreed location

Service Supply

If your machinery needs urgent repairs, servicing or maintenance then please call and appropriate arrangements will be made. The open expanse of the workshops are seen as safe zones, as are the majority of the site jobs that we are asked to attend. If we could respectfully ask that a safe distance of 2 metres is maintained at all times when an engineer is on site…and they will even forgo your cups of tea that we know are normally part of the unwritten onsite agreement.

In the meantime, will also investigate ways that machines could be dropped off or collected from site if this is deemed to be a more practical and/or safer method of working.

Sales Team

Our sales teams are already working remotely and will be there to help you in whatever way they can – please contact them on their mobiles (these are available from the branch if you don’t have them to hand).

Administration and Accounts

Essential functions will be located to areas of the branch whereby we can be confident that the government’s 2 metre guidelines can be adhered to. If you need help or advice regarding your account, then please feel free to call the team.

We hope this gives you a better understanding of the situation and we would like to thank you in advance for your help and cooperation – these steps are of vital importance and will make a genuine difference. If you require any further help, advice or guidance then please don’t hesitate to make contact. We are there for you when you need us most let’s all work together to stay safe and keep the important wheels of our industry turning.

Finally, we would like to thank you for all the support you have already given as we manage this challenging and developing situation – the phones are always on and so please continue to call with any issues and we will work together to find solutions.

Kindest regards,

Jason Scott
