Meet the Team – Toby Bennett

Area Sales Manager
Head of Sales Agriculture

Toby Bennet

We are delighted to announce the expansion of our Lister Wilder team with Toby accepting the role of Head of Sales for our Agriculture division. A familiar face within the Lister Wilder organisation, Toby originally started at the company in 2003 in the service department at Devizes branch. Toby’s drive and customer focussed manner saw a natural progression into sales for both ground care and agriculture departments of Lister Wilder.

Toby comes from a strong agricultural background and grew up on an 800-acre mixed farm in Wiltshire. Growing up on a family farm meant Toby turning his hand to most jobs from early-morning milking’s to ploughing the fields and calving cows, but it was engineering and machinery that captured his attention the most. Toby loves anything to do with farm equipment, whether it was driving it or fixing it, there was a clear passion there. For Toby it seemed natural to pursue a career in farming and he went on to study at Lackham Agricultural College, it was here where he achieved his National Diploma in Agriculture.

After the family farm was sold Toby found himself beginning a role on a large arable and beef farm, this really provided him with an opportunity to broaden his experience in arable applications. Taking on the spraying and combining for the farm provided invaluable knowledge of both machine operation and the maintenance involved.

Toby felt it was time to move onto something different and that is when the opportunity to join the team at Lister Wilder was presented to him. Over the years Toby has predominantly focused on ground care sales but his deep-rooted passion for agriculture has never been lost and he still lives on the farm with his family today. Toby’s knowledge and love for the industry make him an asset to our business going forward.

‘The family run ethos of Lister Wilder and its reputable repour with customers makes me proud to be a part of the team. Seeing the company grow over the last 17 years has been fantastic and I am so looking forward to this new chapter. Growing the Agricultural business in our area is an exciting prospect and I am confident we have a bright future with the Kubota brand within the farming community.’

When not working, I spend my time running around after my two daughters (and my wife).  We are fortunate to still live on the farm, which although has changed massively over the past 20 years, we are still able to enjoy the outdoor farming life.
