As an Apprentice, you will be joining an experienced team of Field Service Engineers who will pass their knowledge onto the next generation. The work is extremely varied and will see you working on the Kubota range of agricultural tractors. Some of this work will take place within our workshops but the majority will be out on site where you begin with the basics of servicing before moving onto repairs, diagnostics and fault finding. You will attend block release at college and then you will spend time with us to develop what you have learnt during your time away. At college, you will cover mechanical principles, engines, hydraulic systems, transmissions and electrics – in fact everything you need to build a sound engineering foundation. On successfully passing the apprenticeship, you will be well on the way to getting a service van of your own, and the beginnings of what should be the start of a very long and rewarding career.
REQUIRED: A pass at GCSE Maths and English at minimum. The successful candidate will also need to demonstrate logical thinking and problem-solving (for diagnostics) plus hands on coordination and organisational skills (working tidily and efficiently).
HOURS OF WORK: Mon-Thurs (8am-5pm), Fri (8am-4pm)
