ELIET emphasises ease of use as a high priority. To limit the effort required during the collecting of the pruning waste, the Maestro has a wide feed-in opening.

With this in mind, the Maestro City has the added advantage that the feed-in position is 15 cm lower compared to the Maestro Country.

All of the ELIET chippers (small and large) are manufactured to the highest degree of craftsmanship. The Maestro City is just one example of this. The steel shredding chamber is firmly welded to the tubular frame. The feed hopper of the ELIET Maestro City has also been manufactured from steel.

LOW NOISE

In the interests of the environment, ELIET always try to obtain harmony between the machine and its surroundings. The shredding chamber has a double wall in order to reduce the noise pollution from this chipper. The frame wall sound damping material dampens the drumming effect of the chippings on the wall. This action reduces the noise level by several dB.

COLLECTION BAG

The fine chippings that the MAESTRO City spits out form the basis for what will later be nutritional compost. These chippings are immediately collected in a large collection bag so that not one single chipping is lost. The contents of one full collection bag (60 litres) is more than enough to fill one wheelbarrow. The chippings do not always have to be deposited in the compost container. They can also be applied as a fertile mulch layer underneath the plantings at the borders of your garden.

SIGHT-GLASS

There is a sight-glass in the top plate of the chassis so you can easily see when the bag is getting full.

STANDARD CALIBRATION SIEVE

Thanks to its special shredding system, the Eliet Maestro can deal with not only thick branches but also fine pruning waste including that from hedges and shrubs with no problem. Also leafy-rich green waste from flower borders or vegetable gardens can be mixed in together. Even autumn leaves that have been collected up can be put through the shredder.

MULTI-PURPOSE GRATING FOR WET GREENWASTE

Should anyone want to exclusively shred such moisture-rich green material, ELIET advises to replace the standard calibration sieve by an optional “multi-purpose grating for wet greenwaste” (Art. code MA 001 052 001) in order to prevent any clogging.

COMPACT STORAGE

In order to transport the Maestro easily in the boot-trunk of a vehicle, the feed-in chute can be completely removed. This is done simply with the turn of a hand, no tools are required.
This feature is also especially handy for storing the machine as compactly as possible in the garage or shed when the work is finished.

Maestro Country

ELIET’s latest Maestro appears as a pair, the Maestro City and Maestro Country.

The Maestro City is especially suitable for users who appreciate an extra low filling height. He is 14 cm smaller than his big brother, the Maestro Country. Both machines shred branches up to 4 cm thick and are equipped with 12 knives, which cut the wood in the direction of the fibres according to the proven ELIET Chopping PrincipleTM.

When you take your first look at the ELIET MINOR, you will realize that this machine is designed to cope with rough handling. You do not have to have any concerns about the durability of the thick sheet steel frame.

WIDE IN-FEED

The black feed hopper guides the garden waste with wide branches into the chipper. Everything disappears behind the metal safety screen. Provided that the feed-in funnel does not become narrower, all branches continue to be fed in before being placed at the mercy of the blades.

BLADE SHAFT

If you remove the sieve screen from the machine, you will be confronted by the blade shaft with its twelve razor-sharp blades. The rotor with two bearing blocks is mounted in the shredding chamber. You will immediately note from the construction of this cutting device that this chipper will have no trouble at all in dealing with a lot of thick branches being fed in.

LARGE WHEELS

Large wheels are a true comfort, in particular, when the chipper needs to be driven over unpaved paths or uneven lawns. The machine virtually does not have to be lifted in the transportation position thanks to the excellent distribution of weight, which makes it extremely easy to drive the machine all the way down any garden.

BELT DRIVE

The blade shaft of the Minor has double bearings and is belt driven. This construction places the Minor in a class of its own in comparison with the smaller ELIET chippers. The separate rotor bearings enhance the durability of the chipper. Moreover, this construction is better equipped when it is subjected to heavy duty cycles. The transmission also absorbs the dynamic forces and increases the drive torque to be blade shaft

Major 4S

The ELIET MAJOR 4S is an appreciated tool by both the demanding private garden lover and the professional. This chipper is compact and light, which allows it to access the wood even when having to go through the smallest of rear gates. The wide feed-in opening offers great comfort when introducing tick branches with lots of twigs attached measuring up to 55 mm.

RAZOR-SHARP BLADES

20 razor-sharp blades chip all kinds of garden waste into nice chippings. Moreover, you can reverse the blades so that they last twice as long. The patented ELIET Chopping PrincipleTM ensures that the blades cut the wood in the fibre direction, which requires a lot less power than the chipping systems that are known everywhere. The blades also attain an utmost wide action field and, thus, guarantee that everything is chipped without fail before it leaves the crushing chamber.

BELT DRIVE

Everything on this professional machine is designed to have a long operating life. ELIET therefore decided to have the engine power transmitted via a belt transmission. When encountering obstacles, the impact of a sudden blockage is absorbed by the belt and not by the crankshaft of the engine. This prevents fatigue of the crankshaft that, in turn, extends the operating life of the engine.

ABM SYSTEM

The ELIET PROF 6 has an additional option, namely an ABM system (Anti-Block Motor), also used in the ELIET Prof 5. This ingenious system fully autonomously regulates the feed speed. A sensor meticulously controls every change in the revolutions of the engine.

V-SAFE INFEED HOPPER

The specially shaped V-safe infeed hopper ensures that larger parcels of pruning waste can be fed in quickly and safely.

IMPELLER

Natural trimming chips are not discharged on the basis of the removal force of the blade system, but are carried away by the powerful airflow generated by the 325 mm blade turbine.

AGRICULTURAL TYRES

WHEEL DRIVE

The wheels of the new Prof 6 were equipped with a powerful wheel motor. The speed forward or in reverse is controlled with a simple movement from the pulse via a rotating handle on the handlebar. The more the handle is rotated forwards or backwards, the faster the machine moves in that direction. The wheel drive is so powerful that it takes only one man to load or unload the machine from a van or a trailer.

BLADES

The blades that are fitted to the Prof 6 are not ordinary steel blades. The Prof 6 is designed to operate at least 8 hours a day. The blades have been specially designed so that their blade life matches the workload and duty cycles.

MAINTENANCE-FRIENDLY

Under the “FAST PITSTOP” motto, the machine is designed to be dismantled in record time to access the critical maintenance points. This typically does not require any tools. You can perform a quick check-up or routine maintenance at the end of each working day. It also facilitates somewhat more involved maintenance. The blow-out level of the Super Prof is at 2 m – 8 ft. An important asset, as it allows you to blow the chips from any possible location to where you want to deposit them. To make sure that the height does not pose a problem for transport, the chute can be collapsed onto the machine and clamped in place. Its height is thus reduced to 1.45 m – 4.75 ft.

INFEED OPENING

The feed opening was made wide on purpose, but without compromising on the machine’s compactness. The feed hopper has become considerably larger mainly at the top. This makes for a larger feeding plateau, allowing the operator to place the green waste quicker and have both hands free to manipulate the waste. The special shape of the hopper walls pushes the waste towards the 45 cm wide central bottom of the hopper. This flat bottom does not get any narrower towards the feed roller. The feed roller can lift up to 13 cm, which creates a huge infeed opening. This feature is highly appreciated by professionals when they are feeding branches with many twigs or voluminous cutting waste.

INTELLIGENT MACHINE

All the features of the machine are grouped in a well-organised dashboard at the front of the machine. The large LCD screen stands out at the centre between the ignition key and the choke valve. It is via the LCD screen that the Super Prof communicates with its operator. Besides showing useful machine features, it tells the operator when maintenance is due. Below the display is the machine’s most essential button: the ‘ACTION’ button. This electronic control of the electromagnetic coupling engages the blade system and the Axelero™ and ensures that the feed roller can be activated. At one push of the button, the shredder beast comes to life.

EASY FEEDING

To ensure simple and intuitive control, the operating mechanism of the feed roller was separated clearly and visually. Push buttons within reach allow for selecting feed/reverse feed. Integrated LED lights in the button highlight the selection. One push of the emergency stop handle or one of the buttons will neutralise the selection and immediately stop the feed roller. This ultimate operating simplicity is a guaranteed time saver.

MINIMUM MANAGEMENT COSTS

The machine was developed from a low-maintenance perspective, so that checks and maintenance don’t become time-consuming and dreaded activities. The Super Prof’s internal management system helps to comply with the schedule. Regular maintenance keeps high repair costs at bay. The blade system is insensitive to foreign objects and its maintenance is simple and self-manageable. Only a limited number of parts are subject to wear and in addition, the machine has a high resale value as a second-hand item, which is an added bonus for its ROI.

MAXIMUM FLEXIBILITY AND TIME SAVINGS

The machine shreds wood as well as large volumes of green waste. The material does not have to be sorted beforehand. You drive the self-driving shredder to the location where you want to perform the shredding, which means that you don’t lose any time supplying or removing materials.

Gas springs provide a uniform pressure on the feed roller to maintain constant grip on the branches. Hydraulically operated, the feed roller can rotate in both the clockwise and counterclockwise direction with an easy to operate control.

RESIST BLADES

The blades that do the work are made of a special steel alloy that has the aim of maximising blade life (200 hours with a set of blades is no exception). What is more, the blades are easy to sharpen. The splitting action of the chipping system will not require precision sharpening of the blades : A simple angle grinder will do the job nicely. The mounting arrangement and accessibility of the blades inside the machine allow sharpening without the need for removal. The blade edge is profiled. This toothing adds to the keenness of the blades to chop through the wood. Each blade has two reversible cutting edges, this means that the blades can be used to the full.

HYDRAULIC WHEEL DRIVE

Mobile chippers : ELIET’s credo for years. As a result, at ELIET we keep with the philosophy of driving the chipper to the green waste material and not the other way. In combination with the superfast chipping technology of the ULTRA PROF, a time saving of 50% can be easily achieved. Wheel drive is hydraulic. Each wheel has a dedicated heavy-duty wheel motor. A straightforward to operate handlebar mounted rotary handle is used for controlling the oil supplied to the wheel motors. Steering is proportional : The more you turn the handle, the faster the machine moves in the chosen direction. As a result, you move this machine – quite heavy at 450 kg – freely within a garden with the greatest of ease. Also, driving the machine on and off a van or trailer is as easy as can be.

LOW GROUND PRESSURE

The total weight of the chipper is 450 kg. As the chipper is mobile it may well be manoeuvred on less stable ground. That is why we have kept ground bearing pressure as low as possible in order to prevent tyre sinkage or rut formation. Load distribution is as follows : Front axle load is 176 kg and rear axle load is 320 kg. Taking into account the tyre size, ground pressures are 0.9 kg/cm² and 0.8 kg/cm² respectively.

DOUBLE WHEELS

A compact design was the starting point when designing the Ultra Prof. This is characterised by the narrow wheel base (90 cm). In addition, the centre of gravity was also kept as low possible in order to increase stability. The requirements, however, are even somewhat higher under certain extreme conditions. For this, ELIET offer an option for extending the supporting surface of the driving wheels. Suitable additional parts can be used to mount double wheels so that the wheel base is then 130 cm.

ABM SYSTEM

With this electronic device you can make the most of your chipper. The system monitors the number of revolutions of the engine. When engine speed drops below a critical number of revolutions while chipping, material feed speed is reduced accordingly. This is in order to take the strain off the blade system for a short time, thus removing any undue strain upon the engine and allowing to increase speed to maximum revolutions. This action takes but a fraction of a second without the operator hardly noticing. The RPM curve of the engine when running can be kept rather flat within a given range, which cuts fuel consumption. Optimum combustion conditions will reduce engine wear.

CALIBRATING SIEVE

The key factor for making good compost and waste chippings as decorative weed suppressant is uniformity in cuttings. This is the basic requirement for ELIET chippers for both wood waste and leafy green waste. To this effect, a calibrating sieve is fitted downstream the blade system. This calibrating sieve makes sure the chips remain in the chipping chamber until they are small enough to pass through the tiny holes of the sieve. The chippings are intensively bruised through subsequent multiple cutting actions, which gives them an ideal texture for the best possible composting. The chipping system provides, in other words, added value to the composting process.

ECO EYE SYSTEM

At ELIET we want to go one step further in our efforts to build more environmentally friendly machines ; this has lead to the development of EcoEye™ Technology, a system that analyses engine behaviour. When the system notices that the machine is no longer being actively used, it will automatically switch the engine to idle. A machine-mounted infrared sensor detects the operator approaching the front of the feed hopper with green waste. At this point, the EcoEyeTM system causes the engine to go from idle to full thus allowing the machine to cut the green waste material at full power. In short, EcoEyeTM reduces fuel consumption and emissions when the engine is idling.

MAINTENANCE FRIENDLY

The main purpose in designing the Ultra Prof series chippers is to offer the user outstanding chipping performance. Even the service technician charged with maintaining the machine has not been overlooked.

While an Ultra Prof series chipper is an example of compactness and safety, the machine gives easy access to each critical part when performing maintenance work. As with sports cars, the large polyester machine guards fold away like butterfly doors. With the guards tucked neatly away, the engine, belts, chains, filters, valves, bearings and lube points are made easily accessible. Likewise, it takes but 20 seconds to remove the discharge conveyor to provide access to the blades. The blade shaft is fitted to the perfect ergonomic height for ease in maintenance (in grinding, reversing, replacing). A display on the dashboard not only gives visual indication of the number of revolutions and the run time, but will tell when maintenance is due.

The large petrol tank with a capacity of 20 litres, allows this machine to run for one workday without the need to refill the tank. There are many more small details that will make a big difference in maintaining and operating your Ultra Prof.

LARGE FEED HOPPER

The striking feature of the feed hopper is its wide base, which does not taper towards the feed roller. The open top of the hopper provides a free feeding tray measuring 1 meter in length. The feed threshold is at hip height. The slight incline of the hopper base enhances feed ergonomics and reduces kick-back.

FOLDING DISCHARGE CHUTE

In order to deposit the shredded material at the desired location, the discharge chute towers high over the machine. During transport however, the discharge chute creates excessive drag, needlessly increasing vehicle fuel consumption. For this reason, ELIET’s engineers designed the discharge chute to be easy to fold down and secure. This makes for a streamlined machine that is 1.85m high and stays perfectly within the wake of the vehicle.

MAINTENANCE-FRIENDLY

Under the “FAST PITSTOP” motto, the machine is designed to be dismantled in record time to access the critical maintenance points. This typically does not require any tools. You can perform a quick check-up or routine maintenance at the end of each working day. It also facilitates somewhat more involved maintenance. ELIET engineers have successfully kept the weight below 750 kg. That means you can transport the shredder on public roadways with a standard driver’s license. Thanks to its low deadweight, practically any vehicle can tow the Mega Prof.

C550ZR Collector

Dethatching is a big job, as a landscape contractor wants to remove most of the moss and thatch from the lawn. However, ironically this creates even more clean-up work, which is the less attractive and time consuming part of this job.

However, now there is a solution. ELIET, the Belgian manufacturer of lawn scarifiers with more than 35 years of experience, is launching its C550ZR Collector on the market this spring.

E600 Compactor

Using the E600 COMPACTOR provides at least three major time savings. Not only does the machine accelerate the dethatching process, it also does it more thoroughly and efficiently. Owners of large gardens regularly use ride-on mowers to cut the grass. In order to make scarification of these gardens easier, ELIET developed a towable model of the E750. This model can be attached to a ride-on mower. The adjustable tow bar means it is compatible with all available mowers. To ensure that the scarification work can be carried out with precision, for example in hard to reach corners, ELIET decided not to remove the handle of the machine. This allows manual scarification of areas with limited accessibility.

OPTIMUM CUTTING

To be able to cut thin, attached sods, the cutter was placed behind the tracks. When it is being loosened, the sod can move freely and will no longer be pressed down by the machine. Thanks to the coaxial eccentric propulsion, the Turfaway cutter makes beautiful, horizontal cutting movements. This helps in keeping better track of the depth and there is less chance of sod breakage.

OPTIMUM GRIP

Sods should preferably be loosened when the soil is damp. The tracks have a greater contact surface on the soil, which provides maximum grip and better traction.

OPTIMUM MANOEUVRABILITY

The propulsion of the tracks is hydrostatic. The speed of each track can be adjusted so that the machine takes corners smoothly and can even turn on its axis. That is why the Turfaway can be used for any lawn.

TOW BAR

In order to ensure optimal performance of the ecocure, the tow bar should be level to the ground. The ecocure should thus be connected to the hitch of the riding mower with the correct tow bar height. That is why there is an extensive series of heights provided for the tow bar. The lever to activate the top dresser can be adjusted to bring it within reach of the sitting position of the driver.

PRESSURE DISTRIBUTION

A container fi lled with material to be spread (e.g. sand) represents a significant weight. In order to reduce pressure and resistance on the belt conveyor, one can place a grille in the container which helps to restrain the weight.

AERATION CYLINDER

Just behind the roller is an axle mounted with 32 spikes which prick through the top layer of the lawn’s soil to a maximum depth of 8 cm. This aeration roller consists of two parts. When making turns, there is a differential action between the spikes in the inner and outer turn.

DOSAGE OF MATERIAL TO BE SPREAD

When top dressing a sports fi eld it is essential that the filler is evenly and equally distributed and that the correct fl ow of spreading material can be set. one must select the appropriate dosage supply of the ecocure in function of the characteristics of the material to be spread.

B. filling material with regular structure

With filling material such as sand, powdered lime, granulated lime, bloodmeal… one has particles of the same shape and size. In this case one selects the plastic guillotine slide to regulate the outflow opening.

B. filling material with irregular structure

With irregular material to be spread, such as compost, there is a risk that large particles will clog the throughput opening. one can regulate the fl ow by means of the back plate which can be adjusted in height. There is a cam roller underneath this plate which crushes larger particles and pushes them through so that there is always an even throughput.

LOW MAINTENANCE COSTS

The ecocure is drawn by a riding mower. All power trains branch off from the rotation of the roller by means of slowly rotating transmission (chains, gearwheels, belts) which hardly requires any maintenance.

ROLLER

The purpose of the ecocure’s rubberized roller is to eliminate the unevenness of the lawn surface with the result being a turf as fl at as a pool table. furthermore, the roller provides an aesthetic striping pattern which gives the sports fi eld a professional and groomed appearance.
