Ben Jenkins – Agricultural Sales Manager
It is with great pleasure we introduce to you a new member of the Agricultural Sales Team – Ben Jenkins Ben will be looking after customers around our areas of London, Berkshire, Hampshire and Wiltshire.
Ben was born in Haverfordwest in the rural county of Pembrokeshire in West Wales where his Father’s side of the family own a dairy Farm. This is where Ben spent a large part of his younger life working and gaining experience of agricultural practices, machinery, livestock, and the wider agricultural community.
During his time on the farm Ben was keen to help with a wide variety of tasks. In his earlier years he was heavily involved with milking the cows, and general livestock husbandry. He then progressed to operating machinery and performing maintenance where he particularly enjoyed machinery-based work and would operate telehandlers and tractors daily with a wide range of attachments.
Following a move to West Berkshire Ben went to university at Oxford Brookes to study politics. Despite his love for agriculture Ben believes that studying topics outside of it has broadened his horizons and enabled him to develop invaluable organisational and analytical skills that can applied on a day-to-day basis in his new role.
Immediately after leaving university he accepted a job working for a technology company in their sales department. However, the lure to get back into the agricultural industry on a permanent basis was too strong and so Ben applied for a position in our Reading Branch’ Agricultural Parts Department where he spent the last year learning invaluable skills and product knowledge across the various industries that we cater for, as well as getting to know the Kubota range of machinery and history.
Outside of work, Ben enjoys playing rugby, going to the gym, spending time with his girlfriend, and socialising with his friends and family.
