Agricultural Sales Manager
Despite now living around Berkshire, Area Sales Manager Ben spent most of his upbringing helping on his family’s farm in Pembrokeshire, West Wales.
After completing his degree at Oxford Brooks University, Ben had the decision on whether he wanted to make the move to Pembrokeshire and work on the family farm or pursue a role within the agricultural industry in Berkshire.
“After a short period working for a technology company, I decided that I wanted to look into what roles were available in the industry and that is when I saw the parts role at Lister Wilder’s Reading branch. I applied and things have progressed from there.
After spending time in the parts department learning a lot about the products Lister Wilder holds and gaining invaluable knowledge about the customers and business in general, Ben made the move to Area Sales Manager.
“I have always wanted to sell machinery because that is what I am interested in. I find great satisfaction when someone tells me the machine that I have supplied is useful and has fixed a pain point that they had.”
When it comes to the range of Lister Wilder agricultural equipment available, there is something to suit all applications.
“I like everything that we sell, all of our franchises are quality and it’s nice to be able to sell a product that the customer has confidence in as well. With Kubota being our main franchise, they are really making moves in agriculture and are showing a lot of ambition. For me, the most important thing is to get customers on the seat and let them find out what the machine can do for them.”
Ben joined Lister Wilder in XXXX and has been welcomed into the Reading team with open arms.
“The working environment is good, everyone gets along and that always makes the job easier. Of course, we all have our hard days but having a good team to get you through helps!”
When Ben isn’t down a farm drive talking to customers, you will probably find him hitting the gym or throwing a rugby ball around!
