Engcon

engcon’s leading global market position is based on a story that stretches back to the mid-1980s when the tiltrotator was a new invention, and founder of engcon, Stig Engström was convinced that this would change the excavator industry. Since engcon was founded in 1990, the business has been centred around product development and end user focus – aspects that, among other things, resulted in several awards and continues to be important pillars for the company’s future development.

About Engcon

Tiltrotator

Given the right set of tools, you can save a lot of money. The tiltrotator is just such a tool.

Profitability

Working with a tiltrotator saves time, cuts the fuel consumption, reduces the need for manpower and machine wear, and the precision of the maneuvers makes you waste less material.

Safety

A tiltrotator also increases safety around the machine due to its high manoeuvrability and low space requirements.

It significantly reduces the need for manual work, for instance the use of shovels and rakes.

Flexibility

The tiltrotator easily tilts and rotates attachments as required, regardless of the machine’s position.

In addition to ordinary buckets, the machine can also be fitted with many different tools and replace several other machines at the same work site.

Environment

The reduced need to move the machine around means greatly reduced environmental impact by cutting fuel consumption and at the same time less damage to the ground. Since you can dig around obstacles and in narrow spaces, there’s less need to move obstructing objects.

Comfort

With a tiltrotator and EC-Oil system, the operator retains control and comfort in the working environment without leaving the cabin to attach hydraulic tools, which also increases safety.

EC02B

Adaptable for all excavators in the 1.5–2.5 ton weight class

The tiltrotator: One of the market’s smallest tiltrotator’s for really small machines weighing up to 2.5 tonnes. With a basic weight of 65 kg, the EC02B has a minimal impact on stability while delivering access and flexibility that only a tiltrotator can provide.

  • Rotation ∞
  • ± 40° tilt
  • Complies with European safety standards
  • A load-holding valve as standard equipment provides high safety

Quick hitch: Engcon offer most types of hitches available on the market.

Control system: Choose between several different control systems based on your machine´s characteristics. The EC02B can usefully be fitted with engcon’s DC2 proportional control system for infinitely variable high precision control and remote support via the cell phone network.

Electrical system: Standard 12 volt.

EC204

Adaptable for all excavators in the 2–4 ton weight class

EC204, optimized for 2–4 ton excavators and can be fitted with integrated gripper or extra hydraulic functionality.

The EC204 has a tilt angle of 45 degrees and can be fitted with engcon’s proportional control system DC2, for stepless control with the highest precision and remote support via the mobile network.

The tiltrotator: Are supplied with hose, quick couplings and electrical installation for one machine. Top attachment point can be adapted to most machines.

  • Rotation ∞
  • ± 45° tilt
  • Complies with European safety standards
  • Extra outlet as standard equipment, or double extra outlets (does not apply to models with grabs)

Quick hitch: We offer most types of hitches available on the market.

Control system: Choose between several different control systems based on your machine´s characteristics. The EC204 can usefully be fitted with engcon’s DC2 proportional control system for infinitely variable high precision control and remote support via the cell phone network.

Electrical system: Standard 12-volt.

Accessory: Integrated gripper

EC206

Adaptable for all excavators in the 4–6 ton weight class

Like its big brother, the EC206 has advantages that make excavators safer, more efficient and more profitable. Unlimited rotation and 45 degree tool or bucket tilt means fewer machine movements and the ability to work in hard-to-get-at places.

NEW! Connect and disconnect your tiltrotator or other hydraulic tools without having to leave the cab. Comfort, safety and profitability – standard engcon features. All purchases of engcon’s machine hitches, tiltrotators and control systems include EC-Oil, engcon’s fully automatic quick hitch system, on the upper section of the EC206.

Its features include integrated lubrication channels that are routed to a single grease point, thus making daily service easier. Engcon’s integrated grab is also available as an option, making it easy to grip pipes and poles and so forth. The extra hydraulic function is available for connecting e.g. a grip, ground compactor or other hydraulic tool under the tiltrotator. Load holding valves on the tilt cylinders come as standard for your safety and that of others.

Characteristics:

  • The EC-Oil fully automatic quick hitch system on the upper section comes as standard with the simultaneous purchase of a tiltrotator, machine hitch and engcon control system
  • S40 quick hitch as standard with the same safety features as the Q-Safe safety hitch
  • Extra hydraulic socket for connecting hydraulic tools
  • Central lubrication (a single grease point for the entire tiltrotator. can also be connected to the excavator’s central lubrication system)
  • Loadholding valves on tilt cylinders for even better safety
  • Available with optional integrated grab cassette
  • Hardened piston rods
  • Up to ± 45-degree tilt angle for best access
  • Unlimited rotation

Also available with S45 and the EC-Oil fully automatic quick hitch system that lets operators connect tiltrotators and hydraulic tools without leaving the cab.

Control system: Standard – engcon’s proportional control system for infinitely variable control with remote support capability, track/wheel steering and boom slew.

Electrical system: Can be adapted to 12V or 24V electrical systems.

Accessories: Integrated grab cassette

EC209

Adaptable for all excavators in weight classes 6–9 tons

A compact, powerful tiltrotator with low weight for excavators up to 9 tons. If the EC209 is selected with engcon’s standard quick hitch S45 and the proportional control system DC2, EC-Oil is offered an automatic quick hitch system as a standard. This means that the tiltrotator and hydraulic tools can be connected & disconnected without the operator needing to leave the cab. Comes supplied with hose, quick couplings and electrical installation equipment for one machine.

Characteristics:

  • The EC-Oil automatic quick hitch system connects the tiltrotator & hydraulic tools without the operator needing to leave the cab.
  • Q-Safe quick hitch for high safety
  • Comes ready for detachable gripper GRD (S45)
  • Comes ready for rotating brush SWD (S45)
  • Comes ready for the QSC locking system to avoid wrongly connected or dropped buckets
  • Comes ready for a rotation sensor (ePS) for connection to the excavator guidance system
  • Central lubrication (a single grease point for the entire tiltrotator; can also be connected to the excavator’s central lubrication system)
  • Load-holding valves on tilt cylinders for high safety
  • Hardened piston rods
  • Up to ± 45-degree tilt angle for best access
  • Rotation ∞

Quick hitch: Standard –S45 For other purposes, we can supply most types of hitches available on the market.

Control system: Standard – DC2 proportional control system for infinitely variable control with remote support capability, track/wheel steering and boom slew. For other purposes, we can deliver custom control systems.

Electrical system: Can be adapted for 12 or 24 volt electrical systems.

Accessory: GRD detachable gripper cassette, SWD detachable rotating brush.
